Fruit Cupcakes and Many Moons

Posted on

This post documents your last day of being 7.

Your classroom celebrates birthdays by inviting parents to bring a treat and to read one of the birthday kid’s favorite books. Your Daddy had an appointment at work that he couldn’t change when we learned of the time to come in, but he really wanted to be there.

Daddy Jim and I joined you and your peeps for about an hour. You chose MANY MOONS – one of our all time favorite books. You asked Daddy Jim to read the voices 🙂 – He’s especially good at the angry king – but also great at the royal mathematician, Lord High Chamberland, and the Royal Wizard. I did Lenore, the Court Jester and the narrator.

You acted out all of the parts – WHAT A HOOT!! You had your class ROOOOLLLLLLLING!

Then we had a yummy birthday treat of make-your-own-fruit cupcakes:
* Waffle cone ice cream bowls
* Fresh yummy fruit
* Whip cream (which you dispensed for everyone)
* Chocolate chips
* Rainbow sprinkles (OF COURSE – it is YOU we’re talking about)
* And the requisite cherry on top!
YUMMMMM…. Can I just say – HUGE HIT!!!

Bowls that you can eat? How fun!!
The Birthday Treat –

What A TREAT it is to be your Mom, Baby Girl – You will always be my Baby Girl!!

Happy Birthday Song (a re-enactment, after sugar – the first time was better though the camera wasn’t ready)
